As part of the Bonnyville Centennial Centre Recreation team, the main focus of the Summer Camp Counsellor position will include assisting with the delivery and supervision of summer camp activities, ensuring a safe and positive environment for campers, and providing exceptional customer service to campers and their families. Summer Camp Counsellors will work closely with the Recreation Programmer and peers to create engaging recreational experiences for children of varying ages and abilities.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily camp activities, adapting to changing schedules and program needs, communicating with parents and guardians, ensuring registration and waiver forms are complete, and providing information regarding camp schedules, field trips, and special events. Counsellors will also assist in maintaining a fun, inclusive, and safe camp environment while supporting the overall success of the summer camp program.

Candidates must enjoy working with children and families, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and provide exemplary customer service. Successful candidates will be friendly, energetic, adaptable, and team-oriented individuals who thrive in a dynamic recreation environment. Knowledge of youth sports, recreation programming, health, wellness, and physical fitness is considered an asset. Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
