KNC Electric Ltd. is owned by York Factory First Nation and operates out of Thompson MB. Providing residential and commercial electrical services locally and throughout northern Manitoba communities for over 35 years. Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local codes and Canadian Electrical Code
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
- Plan and layout electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment for new construction projects
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper installation and integration of electrical systems
- Test electric furnaces and heating equipment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods
- Experience in building, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other tradespeople
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Willing and able to do out of town shift work (2-3 weeks on at a time)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
