Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator and Excavator to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes to support various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy machinery, and a commitment to safety and efficiency on-site. Duties
- Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform mechanical inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with horizontal drilling, paving, grading, and site preparation activities.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery such as loaders and excavators.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Conduct routine safety checks and report any equipment issues or hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
- Construction experience with a focus on paving, grading, or horizontal drilling is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a construction environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
