The Opportunity
We are looking for a dependable Class 1 or Class 3 licensed driver to operate a dump truck in support of our field operations. This is a seasonal role with an immediate start — meaning there is no runway period, just boots on the ground and wheels rolling. You will be hauling materials to and from job sites, supporting our crews on the ground, and playing a key role in keeping our projects on schedule throughout a busy summer season.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating a dump truck to haul materials such as gravel, soil, rock, and construction debris to and from job sites
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with provincial regulations
- Safely manoeuvring in tight job site environments, including residential, commercial, and construction settings
- Loading and unloading materials as required, coordinating with site supervisors and crew leads
- Maintaining accurate trip logs and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Following all traffic laws, company policies, and occupational health and safety regulations
- Supporting field crews with general site assistance between hauls when needed
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence (required)
- Proven experience operating a dump truck or similar heavy equipment
- Clean driver's abstract with no major violations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment driver's abstract check
- Strong knowledge of Alberta road regulations and safe hauling practices
- Physical ability to assist with loading, site work, and manual labour tasks as required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up ready to work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the season
Working Conditions
- Seasonal role with an immediate start date — work runs through the summer season
- Monday to Friday schedule, typically 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with occasional extended hours or weekend work based on project needs
- Exposure to outdoor conditions including heat, wind, and dust
- Travel to various job sites throughout Medicine Hat and the surrounding area
- Physically active role that may include assisting on site between hauls
Why Join Us?
- Competitive hourly wage of $20–$27 per hour based on licence class and experience
