The Receptionist/Finance Clerk provides Reception, Timekeeping support and administrative for IMP Aerospace & Defense. The role is based at the Halifax / Enfield facility and supports Amherst timekeeping remotely. The successful candidate will provide a professional first point of contact, maintain accurate employee time records, and support routine administrative activities for Finance and Operations.
- Reception and office support: greet visitors, answer and direct calls, coordinate visitor passes, coordinate mail/couriers, and support general office administration.
- Timekeeping support: update employee schedules and time records, review punches/timecards for missing or unusual entries, follow up with supervisors to resolve basic discrepancies and submit Timekeepign information to for payroll requirements.
- Accounts Payable & Finance support: provide basic support to the Accounts Payable team, such as invoice receipt, uploading & approval routing
- Documentation and filing: maintain organized records for timekeeping approvals, overtime forms, employee changes, and related administrative documents.
- Other duties as assigned, such as office supply ordering, travel co-ordination support, etc.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, administration, accounting, or human resources is an asset.
- Experience in reception, administration, payroll/timekeeping, accounting support, or a similar office role is preferred.
- Strong comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- High accuracy, strong organization, and good follow-through on recurring deadlines.
- Professional communication with Visitors and Co-workers
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Practical problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn systems, processes, and site-specific requirements.
