Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Baristas to join our team. As a vital part of our food service operation, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while providing exceptional customer service. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash and credit transactions
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including cleaning equipment and counters
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or coffee shop environments is preferred, especially with barista duties and serving customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation or cashiering roles is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
