Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team for the Afternoon Shift. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of our machines and building to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all designated areas within the facility, including floors, restrooms, and workspaces to prevent contamination.
- Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Follow established sanitation procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
- Ensure trash removal and waste disposal are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and document completed tasks as required.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Adhere to company policies regarding hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations.
Skills
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols
- Prior experience in a similar sanitation or janitorial role is considered a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Good communication skills to report issues effectively.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-packed environment.
