Based out of head-office and reporting to the National Project Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the diverse team members from the moment a customer purchase order is received until the equipment is handed over, with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction and optimizing process efficiencies.
Major Responsibilities:
- Participate in the internal Kick-off meeting to confirm that the customer purchase order, COMPASS quote, sales order deliverables, and other obligations are fully completed, accurate and recorded in the project charter.
- Participate in the Customer Project Kick-off meeting – in conjunction with Account Manager, Regional Service Manager and Customer – to review the equipment listing, turnkey specifications, A1 drawings and project timelines and schedules. Securing customer signoff and approval before commencing the work.
- Collect information regarding the hospital’s HIS/RIS and PACS systems, key contacts and the site readiness form.
- Ensures that the mechanical and electrical drawings are produced in a timely fashion, reviewed & approved in collaboration with the National Technical Support Specialist and subsequently signed off by the customer.
- Plans the delivery schedule and route, for the equipment. Coordinating with Logistics and freight companies.
- Oversees the change order request procedure and guarantees that the necessary documentation and forms receive approval and validation from the customers.
- On a daily or weekly basis, remain informed about project statuses and timelines, overseeing deadlines and obligations. Quickly address any delays with team members and clients, while also notifying management of significant issues.
- On a monthly basis, updates are provided to the National Projects Manager to assist in the preparation of the company’s financial forecast for product sales related to installation completions.
- Conducts regular installation review meetings with Regional Service Managers and other team members to update status of projects. Manages equipment installations and customers and works in conjunction with the assigned Installation Coordinator / Lead, to ensure trained personnel install the equipment, installation dates are set to the mutual benefit of Canon and the customer. Ensures equipment acceptance documents (EPC) are signed and all identified incomplete items are followed-up with the customer and completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborates closely with the turnkey provider to ensure that renovations are completed accurately and within the designated timeframe.
- Collaborates closely with the customer contractor to ensure that renovations are executed correctly and punctually.
- Conduct regular site visits when feasible or request the RSM/FSR to monitor the progress of renovations.
- Engages in construction meetings either on-site or virtually as necessary.
- Assists the installation team on the day the system is delivered to the site.
- Responsible for regularly updating the project manager's tracker scheduler.
- Accountable for ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to by oneself and other personnel.
- Performs additional related duties as required.

- Forecasting accuracy of when a project will commence and conclude.
- Effective Project Management is essential for meeting key timelines and achieving deliverables.
- Demands exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities, along with a robust capacity to investigate, analyze, and resolve issues, as well as to plan and propose alternative solutions.
- Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communication, with capability to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate consensus in decision-making.
- Exhibits a courteous, respectful, and empathetic demeanor in all interactions.
- Proficient in overseeing intricate projects within a dynamic environment, adhering to tight deadlines, and effectively guiding key stakeholders towards favourable outcomes.
- Collaborate with and efficiently manage external consultants and contractors.
- Oversee change orders, proposals, and address planning and design challenges related to assigned projects.
- Create, track, and regulate the project budget and timelines.
- Adhere at all times to all CMSCA policies, including environmental, health and safety, and confidentiality policies in their entirety.
Position Requirements
- University Degree/Diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and health system capital planning ideally in healthcare environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/Revit, MS office, MS Project and Teams. Understanding of Ontario Building codes and other applicable standards is an asset.
- Moderate travel is required.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
