Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the direction of the head chef
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a line cook/prep cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
