Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic education team. The ideal candidate will have strong teaching skills and a solid background in swimming, with the ability to create a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels. This role involves instructing individuals and groups, fostering confidence in the water, and promoting water safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swimming lessons for students of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop customized lesson plans that cater to individual needs and progressions.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring activities during lessons.
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that motivates students to achieve their swimming goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching swimming or related aquatic instruction.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Water Safety Instruction is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary.
- Passion for teaching and promoting water safety awareness.
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all participants.
Pay: $17.20-$40.00 per hour
