Position Summary
The Parts Driver ensures the timely and accurate pickup and delivery of automotive parts and equipment to customers, vendors, wholesale accounts, and body shops. This role supports the Parts Department by verifying invoices and payments, completing delivery paperwork, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and assisting with stocking and general department support. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and holds a valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing.
Key Responsibilities
- Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Delivers parts to body shops when needed and distributes to appropriate body shop technicians.
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
- Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery and give the customer a copy of their invoice.
- Ensures all charge sales are signed by the customer.
- Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork, undelivered parts and cash or cheques.
- Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
- Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Helps with stocking parts when they arrive to expedite delivery to technicians and wholesale accounts.
- Assist parts counter personnel by picking parts or helping technicians or external customers.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other duties may be assigned at the request of the parts manager.

Education / Experience
High School Diploma equivalent. No previous experience as a parts driver required.
Languages
English required. Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are a strong asset.

Ability to prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency throughout the day. A positive attitude and always friendly to customers and co-workers. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to calculate change, add and multiply.

Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
