PURPOSE:
Made-Rite Meats is currently looking for full-time food production workers.
These positions require you to work in a cold environment. The right candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to work with other members of the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Load food packaging equipment.
- Count items, load, pack, and tape boxes.
- Examine and inspect packages to ensure quality control.
- Stack boxes on pallets.
- Operate food packaging equipment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing.
- Follow all food safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all health and safety policies.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to withstand cold temperatures as plant is refrigerated.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time.
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be success-driven and have a “can do” attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation as we are not on a bus route.
- Knowledge of GMP’s and HACCP principles is preferred.
- Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered as asset.
