Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring accurate medication management. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify prescriptions for correctness and completeness based on physician orders
- Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under supervision
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to safety protocols and legal requirements
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and documentation as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Experience
- Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience providing patient care in a healthcare setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for success in this role
Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
