About the role
The successful candidate will be called to work at Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) in Esquimalt and ships within His Majesty Canadian (HMC) Dockyards once the necessary security clearances have been granted by the Government of Canada (CANADA). The candidate will work on site at the Lockheed Martin, Victoria, BC.
The candidate will be involved in various In-Service Support (ISS) Programs, including installation, integration, planned and preventive maintenance and field troubleshooting for systems and capabilities of a highly complex naval combat system.
The candidate will function in a multi-disciplined team environment, participate in the installation and maintenance of the Halifax class common shipboard equipment, software, and participate in all appropriate engineering activities including but not limited to:

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and military equipment

Provide technical support for equipment and software installations

Providing multilevel technical support for integration of cable and equipment configuration

Provide user support to development, training, and test teams
-
Provide technical support to our customer

Coordinate work and provide support to subcontractors
-
Liaise with Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton (FMFCB) and Subcontractors for the coordination of Lockheed Martin scope of work

Recording and tracking issues (equipment failure trends, etc.) that may affect operational performance and efficiency

Assisting members of the engineering staff in maintaining detailed configuration documentation applicable to equipment and cable configurations, firmware settings, equipment utilization metrics, equipment status, etc.

Assisting members of the engineering staff in conducting Technical Investigation Reports and Engineering Change (EC) documentation.

Assisting in the procurement, delivery, installation, and testing of new equipment configurations

Provide technical support for life cycle initiatives.
What you bring to the role
- Completion of a 2-year college diploma in Electronic Technology or Electronic Technician (ET)

5 + years of experience working in a related field
-
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong working knowledge of electronic and electrical test equipment
-
Strong troubleshooting abilities
-
Experience in handling technical aspects of maintenance repairs

Aptitude for providing technical guidance and solving challenging problems

Works well individually or in a team environment
-
Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team through technically complex projects

Experience in project planning

Willing to support after hour work when required

Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work

Technical Knowledge of Halifax class Combat Systems and Harry DeWolf class Navigation/Combat Systems.
Additional skills desired for the role

Salary Range
$95,000 - $124,500
