Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscaper/Hardscape professional to join our team. This role involves designing, constructing, and maintaining outdoor landscapes and hardscape features, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will have experience in various construction and landscaping techniques, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from residential gardens to commercial outdoor spaces.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute landscape and hardscape projects accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Build and install concrete features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative elements using concrete forming and finishing techniques
- Install masonry components including bricks, stones, and tiles for aesthetic or functional purposes
- Perform carpentry tasks related to landscape structures like fences, decks, or garden beds
- Conduct restoration work to repair or enhance existing landscape features
- Install plumbing fixtures or drainage systems as needed for irrigation or water features
- Apply caulking, painting, or sealing techniques to ensure durability of installations
- Estimate project materials and time requirements for accurate planning and execution
- Maintain job site safety standards and ensure all work complies with industry regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for precise project execution
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying techniques
- Construction experience with skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, welding, or flooring installation is a plus
- Ability to read construction estimates and schematics accurately
- Strong understanding of restoration processes and landscape design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of hardscape construction
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
