Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator / Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. This position combines office administration with day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide administrative support while assisting with financial record-keeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general accounting tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Duties
- Provide general administrative support to management and staff.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.
- Prepare reports, letters, and other business documents.
- Maintain organized filing systems for electronic and paper records.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate appointments.
- Order and manage office supplies.
- Assist with other office administrative duties as required.
Bookkeeping Duties
- Record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Assist with payroll preparation and employee records.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Work closely with the external accountant or finance team to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative and/or bookkeeping role.
- Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $35,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
