Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to join our team at an oil refinery. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment within a high-security industrial facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of a critical infrastructure site while ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of all designated areas within the refinery, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure surfaces are sanitized and maintained according to safety standards
- Conduct detailed cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, and trash removal
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to hazardous material handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Support ongoing facility upkeep to meet environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies used in industrial environments
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to industrial cleaning operations
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience working in a high-security or industrial setting is a plus but not required
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all refinery safety policies
Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
