Pay Rate: $21.69/hour

Job Description:
-
Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols of interior and exterior areas, including in inclement weather
-
Respond to emergency, medical, and fire incidents while remaining calm and professional
-
Perform Patient Watch, investigate routine incidents, and enforce parking, smoking, and site by-laws
-
Maintain accurate reports and notes for incidents and end-of-shift documentation
-
Apply advanced de-escalation skills and enforce site policies, rules, and regulations
-
Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and support site operations
-
Present a professional presence, uphold client and company expectations, and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
-
Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
-
Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
-
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)

A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)

1 year of security experience (healthcare experience is strongly preferred)

Authorized to legally work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) & Use of Force (UoF)

Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's MOAB/UoF training program in prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The MOAB/UoF training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability

The MOAB/UoF training will be held in Kingston, On

Fluent English communication (oral/written) is required
-
6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
