Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Labourer to join our team and contribute to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in various landscaping projects, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of performing a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance and construction.
Duties
- Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation using hand tools and power tools
- Operate machinery such as excavators and other landscaping equipment under supervision
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Perform gardening tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, and lawn care
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, edging, trimming, and debris removal
- Support construction activities related to landscape projects, including setting up structures and pathways
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a secure work environment
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining power tools and machinery
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
