About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated Automotive Service Technician to join a growing automotive service team in Yarmouth, NS. This opportunity is ideal for 310S Licensed Automotive Service Technicians as well as registered 310S Apprentices (all levels) who are looking to develop their careers in a professional and fast-paced automotive repair environment.
The successful candidate will perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while delivering quality workmanship and contributing to excellent customer service.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, and fluid replacements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, engine, and drivability concerns.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Repair or replace automotive components, including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, exhaust systems, batteries, and other mechanical parts.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify recommended maintenance and repair requirements.
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs when required.
- Complete repair orders accurately and communicate findings with the service team.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Properly use and maintain shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
- Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Apprentices will work under the supervision of licensed technicians while continuing to develop their technical skills and complete apprenticeship requirements.
Qualifications
- 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence or registered 310S Apprentice (all apprenticeship levels are encouraged to apply).
- Previous automotive repair and maintenance experience is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence is preferred.
- Own tools are considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
