Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Drum Teacher to join our team. As a Drum Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in various aspects of music, fostering their love for music, and helping them develop their musical skills. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire and guide students on their musical journey.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels
- Teach students how to read sheet music, play instruments, and understand music theory
- Provide individualized instruction and support to help students achieve their musical goals
- Plan and organize recitals, concerts, or other performances to showcase students' progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to coordinate music programs and events
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians on a regular basis
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in music education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Performance or Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children or teaching music in a classroom setting
- Proficient in playing one or more musical instruments
- Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Experience with early childhood education is a plus
- Tutoring experience is a plus
We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
Job Types: Casual, Freelance
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
