Wood Buffalo Paving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Milling Foreman / Operator to join our asphalt milling and paving team for the upcoming construction season.
This role is best suited for someone who can operate a milling machine, lead a small crew, manage daily production, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt milling equipment safely and efficiently
- Lead and coordinate daily milling crew activities
- Confirm milling limits, depths, quantities, and job requirements before starting work
- Read and understand plans, specifications, layouts, and work scopes
- Coordinate trucking, sweeping, traffic control, water, and dump locations as required
- Maintain daily production, quality, and safety standards
- Complete daily reports, time tracking, and job notes
- Perform daily equipment inspections, greasing, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Report equipment issues and repair needs promptly
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, paving crews, trucking, and subcontractors
- Support crew training, accountability, and safe work practices
- Represent Wood Buffalo Paving professionally with clients, inspectors, and the public
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of asphalt milling experience preferred
- Experience operating Wirtgen or similar milling machines
- Experience with highway, municipal, commercial, and tie-in milling work
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment
- Strong understanding of milling depths, grades, transitions, and production targets
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record preferred

Working Conditions
- Seasonal construction work
- Overtime, evenings, weekends, night shifts, and out-of-town work may be required

- PPE is required at all times
- Must comply with company safety, drug, alcohol, and equipment policies
