Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, coupled with strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff effectively. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety practices, and customer service.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service for guests.
- Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience with ordering.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience.
