Job Title: Flooring Installation Subcontrator
Company: Sacwal Flooring Centres, 701 St. Clair St., Chatham
Are you an experienced floor covering installer who takes pride in quality workmanship and being detail oriented? We're looking for meticulous, courteous installers to join our rapidly growing team. We need you to have strong organizational and time management skills, with a great attention to detail and ability to recognize our customers demand for the best. You must be hardworking and thrive in a team environment but also able to work alone.
**** Must have own truck/van to transport tools/materials and a valid driver’s license.
Salary and hours of work:
· Payment is based on a per job basis as defined by a set rate sheet. Job can be up to Full Time Monday to Friday with option to work some weekends as requested
Work Setting:
· Residential
· Commercial
Duties:
· Complete flooring removal in our clients’ homes
· Install any of the following: CARPET AND PAD, glue down LVP, and vinyl click flooring
· Pick up materials from our shop and deliver to site
· Keep a safe, neat and clean work space and job site
· Help the team with other duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Ability to communicate effectively and politely on site with team members and customers
· Knowledge of safety regulations
· Exceptionally organized and tidy, while working in the shop and on site.
· Experience working within a construction industry is an asset
· Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail
· Work is Physically demanding and you must be able to lift up to +50lbs
· Must have experience using hand tools, measuring tools and power tools
· Must have the ability to distinguish between colours
· Must have valid G-License, WSIB and own transportation
Own Tools/Equipment:
· Tools
· Safety equipment/gear
· Steel-toed safety boots
· Hard hat
· Safety glasses/goggles
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
· Handling heavy loads
· Attention to detail
· Hand-eye co-ordination

Experience:
· Flooring Installation: 3-5 year (preferred)
· Construction: 3-5 year (preferred)
