Principalement, il supervise l’équipe des livreurs et des aides-livreurs et veille au respect des politiques de l’entreprise et de l’utilisation des outils associés aux opérations du transport.
En partenariat avec le Service des Ressources humaines, résoudre les problèmes liés au personnel (performance, attitude, absentéisme, etc.), intervenir lors de conflits, rencontrer les employés lorsque requis et remettre des mesures disciplinaires au besoin;
Effectuer la gestion des feuilles de temps dans ADP ce qui inclut l'approbation des demandes de congés, les vacances, la gestion du temps supplémentaire et toutes corrections requises et ce, dans les délais prescrits;

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Supervisor is responsible for managing delivery operations in order to achieve corporate objectives. This role primarily involves supervising the delivery drivers and driver assistants, ensuring compliance with company policies and the proper use of tools associated with transportation operations.
General Tasks
Supervise the team of drivers and driver assistants
Assess labor needs and allocate staffing according to workload
Plan and ensure service quality and adherence to delivery schedules
Ensure budget compliance and achievement of financial targets
Promote and enforce company policies, procedures, regulations, and safety guidelines
Lead team meetings and participate in onboarding, training, and coaching of employees
Prepare various reports
Participate in operational efficiency improvement projects
Ensure accurate timecard management for payroll processing
Promote harmonious working relationships
Perform all other related duties
Operational Tasks
Establish daily priorities to meet deadlines, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure service and delivery quality
Ensure team members follow Sysco work methods to maintain a safe environment and meet productivity standards
Monitor key performance indicators, track real-time productivity, and apply corrective actions as needed
Regularly interact and communicate with various departments to support continuous improvement and resolve operational issues
Attend daily planning meetings to allocate workforce effectively across departments; confirm employee availability and reassign according to workload fluctuations
Ensure the accuracy of productivity data, including employees requesting and recording delays in SWMS
Ensure proper functioning of equipment (mobile and IT) to support smooth operations
People Management
Maintain daily presence on the floor to build strong relationships, a positive work environment, and motivate employees
Travel onsite with drivers and driver assistants for coaching and check-ins
Recognize and reward strong employee performance
Coach team members, resolve issues, and intervene proactively to prevent recurring problems
Identify training needs, contribute to updating training programs, and ensure proper skill transfer
Understand and apply the collective agreement, participating in grievance and arbitration processes
In partnership with HR, address performance, behavior, absenteeism, conflict resolution, and deliver disciplinary actions when necessary
Manage timecards in ADP, including vacation approvals, leave requests, overtime, and required corrections within prescribed timelines
Actively participate in hiring; ensure new employees follow the integration plan, support training, and complete evaluations (30/60/90 days)
Maintain relationships with external subcontractors and ensure they are trained and compliant with Sysco standards
Health, Safety & Food Safety
Ensure the safety and quality of all incoming and outgoing products according to food safety requirements
Promote workplace health and safety by implementing policies and programs
Guide employees in safe work practices to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents
Conduct accident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures within prescribed timelines
Support employees returning to work (gradual or full-time) and ensure respect of work limitations
DEC in management or other relevant education/experience
3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar operational environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (trust-building, conflict management)
Inspiring, motivating leadership; attentive to team needs
Proven ability to build an engaged and high-performing team
Demonstrates maturity, professionalism, confidence, and integrity
Organized, methodical, and focused on continuous improvement
