Job Summary
We are seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to begin their careers as Entry-Level Construction and Trades Helpers. This is a job-connected opportunity that includes 16 weeks of fully funded training, designed to prepare you for immediate work with local employers in the construction and skilled trades sector. You’ll gain real-world skills, safety certifications, and direct access to hiring companies.
This position is ideal for individuals eager to start a stable career in construction, with no prior experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in construction projects under supervision
- Support licensed tradespeople with tools, materials, and setup
- Prepare job sites, maintain cleanliness, and follow all safety procedures
- Learn and apply basic trade skills through hands-on shop projects
- Attend scheduled training sessions (in-person, Monday–Friday, Transportation allowance will be provided)
- Participate in employer networking events during the program
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable using or learning basic hand and power tools
- Good physical stamina and ability to work on-site when required
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with team members
- Positive attitude and eagerness to develop trade-related skills
- Clear communication and willingness to engage in group learning
- Interest in construction, skilled trades, or general labour fields
Eligibility Criteria
- Female youth between the ages of 15–30
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, protected person under IRPA, work permit holders
- No previous trade experience required

Pay: $19.96-$30.29 per hour
