Join Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together
At TELUS Health, we're reshaping how organizations manage retirement and benefit administration—and we need a Software Product Manager who can bridge data, strategy, and user impact.
The Integrated Reporting Solutions team is at the heart of this transformation. We've built the foundation—a centralized data hub, enterprise-grade reporting tools, and a growing platform—but the real opportunity is ahead: helping our clients unlock self-service reporting so they can make faster, smarter decisions without waiting for a custom report.
In this role, you'll own the product strategy and roadmap for our reporting ecosystem. You'll work with engineering teams, solution architects, business leaders, and enterprise clients to evolve our tooling, data models, and user experiences. Your combination of technical depth (SQL, data literacy, Agile) and stakeholder influence will be critical—this is not a role where you hand off the roadmap and disappear.
This is technical product management work. You'll roll up your sleeves, ask hard questions about data quality, learn how our reporting tools really work, and push back when you see a better path. You'll also be a trusted voice inside TELUS—helping teams understand what's possible in reporting and analytics, and why it matters for our clients.
What You'll Do
Own the Strategy, Manage the Tradeoffs
You'll define and drive the product roadmap for Integrated Reporting Solutions, balancing long-term vision with near-term delivery. This means sitting with business stakeholders, clients, and your engineering team to make clear, defensible decisions about what's next—and communicating those trade-offs transparently across the organization.
Evolve the Reporting Platform & Data Foundation
You'll steward the team's reporting tooling suite (Logi Analytics, SSRS, Crystal Reports) and oversee the Datamart and Business Object Model—the centralized data repository that powers self-service reporting. Staying hands-on here is important: you'll understand data quality, performance bottlenecks, and user friction, and you'll drive improvements with the engineering team.
Partner Directly with Clients & Internal Stakeholders
You'll engage with key clients and business partners to gather requirements, conduct discovery, and translate complex needs into clear product features. You'll also support internal teams and clients on reporting capabilities, helping them troubleshoot issues and maximize adoption.
Coach the Team, Build Expertise
You'll work closely with product owners, developers, and solution architects to strengthen product thinking and delivery practices. You'll deliver training to internal teams and clients, empowering them to leverage self-service reporting effectively.
Execute with Precision
You'll lead day-to-day product execution—partnering with your Scrum Master, developers, QA, architects, and stakeholders to shape sprints, refine the backlog, and remove ambiguity. You'll define KPIs, track success metrics, and use data and client feedback to continuously improve.
What Success Looks Like: Clients and internal teams confidently access timely, reliable reporting with less reliance on custom development. Self-service capabilities are adopted widely, well-understood, and aligned to real needs. Your team delivers valuable increments predictably, with clear priorities and strong release readiness.
What You Bring
Core Must-Haves
5+ years in product management, business analysis, data analytics, or a closely related technical role (we welcome strong candidates transitioning from data/reporting backgrounds)
Practical SQL skills: you can read, interpret, and write SQL queries to support analysis, requirements definition, and stakeholder conversations
Understanding of data structures and reporting: familiarity with data models, normalized data, and how data is organized to support reporting and analytics
Experience with centralized reporting data: exposure to data warehouses, semantic layers, business object models, or similar structures
Hands-on experience with reporting tools or BI platforms (Logi, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports—or similar; the specific tool matters less than your ability to learn new ones)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills: you can conduct discovery sessions, ask the right questions, and translate business needs into clear product requirements
Agile/Scrum experience: comfortable with backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, release readiness, and iterative delivery
What Sets You Apart
You're a natural systems thinker—you approach problems analytically, bring data to decisions, and collaborate across teams to find solutions
You thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to complexity; you're a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told how
You're a coach and communicator—you genuinely enjoy helping developers, business teams, and clients grow, and you can explain complex data concepts with patience and clarity
Background in data engineering, data analysis, or BI development before moving into product or business analysis
Experience as a Software Product Owner (SPO) or Business Analyst in a reporting or data context
Software development or coding experience—understanding how software is built gives you an edge
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data governance, or data quality practices
Why This Role Matters
You'll have a direct hand in shaping how thousands of organizations access and act on data. You'll influence product decisions, lead a growing team, and work with clients who rely on your platform to make critical business decisions. This is hands-on, collaborative, high-impact product work.
