Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a strong work ethic, and an interest in the food industry. Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this vital position.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision
- Ensure timely clearing and resetting of tables during service hours when applicable
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to promote a smooth workflow and excellent customer service
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
