The Role:
Day-to-day work will include the following activities. There will also be opportunities to work on more unique projects and responsibilities in BC and along the west coast of the USA.
- Participate and lead project meetings with owners, developers, architects and stratas
- Be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, with guidance from senior staff.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff to assist you with project work.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and change orders associated with building enclosure elements.
- Review mock-ups, perform field reviews, assist with site testing and other activities to facilitate project success.
- Use independent judgement in assisting senior staff and develop recommendations and solutions to building science challenges.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports which highlight our findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage expertise in building science, engineering, and construction to deliver holistic solutions to clients.
- Cultivate strong relationships, understand client needs, and tailor solutions that align with their goals.
- Solve building science challenges, leverage technical knowledge and creative approaches.
- Contribute to our existing library of building enclosure designs and resources.
- Develop project specification and drawing packages.
You:
- Undergraduate/master’s degree or diploma in Architecture or Engineering.
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in building science, building design, energy performance or related field
- 2+ years of experience managing projects.
- Driver’s license and ability to travel to construction sites throughout the lower mainland.
- Strong understanding of building enclosure design, construction and site testing process.
- Experience with energy modelling, thermal simulations and life cycle software would be an asset.
- P.Eng. registered with EGBC, or ability to register immediately is an asset

Pay: $90,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
