River Gardens Retirement Residence, is looking for a friendly motivated individual to work nights and every other weekend to provide quality compassionate care for our seniors. As a Resident Aide/UCP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents and ensuring their well-being.
Some duties would include assistance with bathing, assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, laundry, and/or occasional transport to and from dining room.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work together as a team and independently
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
- Time management skills; ability to organize work
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
- Lifting up to 25-50 pounds may be required
- Previous experience working with seniors an asset
- Experience with administering medications an asset
- Facility Cleaning
- Personal and Facility Laundry
- First Aid/CPR training an asset
Vulnerable Sector Check, TB skin test and Covid-19 vaccine required.
