Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice 5 days a week 10AM-6PM (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat). The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a strong understanding of medical and dental terminology. The Dental Receptionist will ensure a smooth patient experience while supporting the daily operations of the office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records.
- Collect payments and process billing accurately at the front desk
- Maintain organized patient records in electronic medical records systems
- Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling to optimize office flow
- Prepare and manage patient paperwork, forms, and other administrative documents
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient care delivery
- Handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to provide friendly, professional customer service
- Knowledge of front desk operations in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
Pay: $19.18-$31.59 per hour
