Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential for maintaining smooth kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and assisting with meal preparation. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
- Support food handling and safety procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Help with basic cooking tasks, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal to uphold sanitation standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by delivering prepared dishes or assisting with setup
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling safety practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with the food industry environment and understanding of food safety regulations is a plus
- Previous experience in meal preparation or kitchen work helps ensure smooth integration into the team
