Role Description
This is an entrepreneurial, high-activity role perfect for a motivated professional who loves a mix of office strategy and being out in the field. You will be the face of the company, building relationships with everyday property owners and institutional landlords to secure land access agreements. The Business Development Representative will work with landlords of all sizes to coordinate all aspects of land access for the company. This work ranges from identifying suitable landlord candidates for development areas to negotiating lease terms and conditions and arranging pre-construction activities. This role is absolutely integral to the development pipeline, as securing the right real estate is the foundational step of the entire process.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Site identification: collaborate with our team to research potential sites for specialized asset development
- Relationship building: build relationships with landlords, including both individual property owners and larger institutional landlords with portfolio properties
- Site qualification: work with local resources to evaluate the site from a development perspective, proactively choosing locations with optimal characteristics
- Lease negotiation and execution: work directly with landlords to successfully secure and execute lease agreements
- General field duties: establish a strong on-the-ground presence and support various tasks required by the entrepreneurial, fast-paced nature of the business
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree
- Valid driver’s licence
- 4 years of full time work experience
- 3 employer references
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, detail orientation, communication skills, and work ethic
- In-office position with about 50% of time spent on the road and field, and some overnight travel
Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus structure

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
