Reliable is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager at our head office in Surrey, BC to support our continued growth and become a key contributor to our expanding team. The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for establishing and managing an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of large, medium, and light duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. The position includes the following duties and responsibilities:
- Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example; performs all work activities following all relevant safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of all relevant BC, Alberta, and National Safety Codes.
- Ensure compliance with all Preventative Maintenance (PM) requirements, as well as relevant CVIP and MOT requirements.
- Ensure scheduled service intervals are met in an efficient and disciplined manner.
- Ensure fleet availability targets related to truck uptime are met or exceeded.
- Manage maintenance team and activities to ensure efficient use of resources while minimizing costs.
- Forecast maintenance expenses, track spending, and analyze historical expenses to ensure improvement opportunities are pursued on an individual truck and a fleet level.
- Manage external maintenance vendors to ensure service level agreements are achieved.
- Monitor and control inventory and maintenance of equipment in workshop locations.
- Ensure Pre-Trip condition reports and/or maintenance requests are correctly prioritized and work orders are created.
- Approves purchase orders after researching best prices on parts or repairs from external vendors.
- Basic troubleshooting of fleet support systems such as GPS and cameras.
- Develops standardization, continuous improvement & other Fleet Maintenance strategies.
- Collaboratively partakes in the recruitment, selection, performance management, training and development, and discipline of all maintenance team member.

Required Qualifications:
- Three or more years of supervisory or administrative experience in the maintenance and repair of a light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial fleet
- Considerable knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines
- Proficiency with fleet maintenance software would be a plus
- Certification, diploma, degree, or other further education in a relevant field would be a plus
- Experience with Fleetio is a strong asset.
