The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate and experienced cook with a love of Italian cuisine and a hands-on approach to food preparation. You will support kitchen operations, including prep and production, while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and teamwork. You should have previous professional cooking experience, be capable of taking direction well, multitask effectively, and thrive in a busy production team. You are a positive role model of professionalism and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Production Cook:
- Prep and assemble ingredients for production
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all prepared items
- Collaborate with parallel departments to meet production needs
- Assist in mentoring or guiding less experienced kitchen staff
- Be a team player and foster strong morale within the culinary team
- Manage time efficiently, ensuring prep lists are executed
- Manage inventory and rotate stock according to procedures
- Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations
- Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for food, especially Italian cuisine
- Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong teamwork ethic and positive attitude
- Food Handler Certification (required)
- Willingness to work early mornings with a 6 am start
