Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Piano Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will deliver engaging piano lessons, tailor instruction to individual needs, and help students develop their musical abilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of music while nurturing the next generation of pianists.
Duties
- Conduct personalized piano lessons for students across various age groups and skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ goals and progress
- Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students to excel
- Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Incorporate music theory, sight-reading, technique, and performance skills into lessons
- Support students in preparing for recitals, exams, or competitions
Requirements
Level 8 RCM is Required
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano to diverse age groups as asset
- Strong background in piano performance and music theory
- Experience working with children and understanding early childhood education principles an asset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and patience in instruction
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with classroom settings and additional musical or educational certifications
Pay: $21.00-$36.00 per hour
