This is an ideal position for a driven Purchasing Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, communicates effectively with both field and office staff and is capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with vendors and suppliers to obtain product and service information including pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements to ensure best value for the company
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in a timely manner, including follow-up on overdue or outstanding Pos
- Ensure materials, equipment, rentals, and services are delivered to job sites on schedule to support operations and project timelines
- Communicate effectively with office staff, field personnel, Superintendents, and Project Managers to identify purchasing requirements and urgent operational needs
- Receive purchase orders within the system and complete progress entries as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to purchase orders, deliveries, damaged materials, shortages, or vendor discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate files of purchase requests, purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and related documentation for reporting and audit purposes
- Create and maintain vendor lists, supplier contacts, and purchasing reports
- Track and monitor material orders, backorders, and outstanding deliveries
- Assist with inventory coordination and material allocation across projects and divisions
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
Qualifications/Positional Requirements:
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, dispatch, or construction administration preferred
- Experience within the construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities, or heavy equipment industry considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience with ERP, purchasing, or construction management software is an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations, accounting, and project teams in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of construction materials, vendor networks, and job site operations is preferred

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
