Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team for 30+ hours per week. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of hotel facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong facilities maintenance skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment. Experience in manufacturing environments, supervisory responsibilities, and familiarity with CMMS systems are highly valued. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel facilities and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage building automation systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software
- Conduct welding repairs and other mechanical tasks as needed
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors to ensure timely completion of work
- Coordinate with hotel management to prioritize maintenance requests and minimize guest disruptions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility regulations
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems
- Supervising experience preferred, with leadership skills to manage team members or contractors effectively
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management
- Skilled in welding and electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to building systems and equipment repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to facilities maintenance is essential
