Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during food handling and service
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Good communication skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Food industry knowledge including food handling, serving, and sanitation practices is desirable
