Duties
- Provide professional hair cutting, styling, trimming, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Engage with clients through friendly communication to understand their needs and recommend suitable styles or products.
- Upsell retail hair care products and styling tools to enhance client satisfaction and boost sales.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out, and answering inquiries promptly.
- Promote retail sales by educating clients on product benefits and usage tips during their visit.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly sanitized after each use to adhere to health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related cosmetology fields with valid licensing as required by local regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and create a positive experience for every client.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain styling options and product recommendations.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while prioritizing client satisfaction.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for staying current on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming.
