Wholesale Furniture Brokers is predominantly an online retail business with a local retail store at our headquarters, specializing in indoor and outdoor furniture and mattresses. We ship from our warehouses or suppliers to customers across Canada and the United States. Since starting 24 years ago in Kamloops, BC, Canada, we have steadily grown over the years. We are an enthusiastic team of 11 employees who always strive to provide the best customer service possible.
Job Location: Kamloops, BC
Hours: Full Time / 40 Hours Per Week
Operating Hours: 9AM - 5PM Mo-We and Sa, 9AM - 6PM Tu-Fr, Opening Sundays.
Days: Days, Evenings, Weekends
Wage: $21 / Hour plus commissions.

Characteristics we value are confidence, ingenuity, initiative, determination, and ambition. Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and multitasking skills are also essential assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering, handling, and forwarding calls and emails
- Greeting customers when they come into our store
- Following up on sales leads
- Being a product expert for everything offered in our store, and on the website
- Entering the customer’s order, and arranging their delivery if applicable
- Merchandise and clean the showroom to effectively promote products
- Address and work to resolve any customer service issues that arise
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
- Customer service skills - Previous sales and/or service experience in the same industry will be considered an asset
- Professional written and verbal skills
- Internet Knowledge - Track orders, navigate websites, webmail
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of online shopping and advertising considered an asset
- Social Media experience such as Facebook
Special Working Conditions:
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Working in front of the computer for long periods of time
- Extended periods of time on the phone
- Possible lifting/moving/setting up heavy furniture in the store
Compensation Note - The wage represents a starting point and successful candidates typically move up quickly based on regular performance reviews.
