Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and food items, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is vital in delivering a positive dining experience for our customers and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage food preparation stations efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours
- Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean working environment
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and food prep areas in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Commitment to sanitation, cleanliness, and food handling protocols
