Job Overview
We are immediately hiring reliable Warehouse Lumpers on behalf of our client to help hand bomb and unload incoming shipping containers at their SE Calgary facility. This is a fast-paced, high-energy project. The job involves working both indoors and outdoors on the active loading dock. The job site is transit accessible, making it easy to commute without a personal vehicle.
Core Responsibilities
- Hand Bombing: Manually unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes out of floor-loaded shipping containers.
- Palletizing: Carefully stack, sort, and organize the freight according to supervisor instructions.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other lumpers to safely clear all containers efficiently.
- Site Care: Move between indoor staging areas and the outdoor yard smoothly while maintaining a safe workspace.
Requirements & PPE
- Physical Strength: Must be able to continuously lift, carry, and maneuver large, heavy freight up to 70 lbs.
- Equipment Experience: Prior experience safely operating manual and/or electric pallet jacks is an asset.
- Steel Toe Shoes: Must bring your own CSA-approved safety boots (mandatory for site entry).
- Gloves: Must bring your own work gloves to protect your hands during heavy lifting.
- Punctuality: Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shift.
