Saturday Veterinary Assistant
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Saturday Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Pet Vet!
This is a rare opportunity that doesn't come up often. The position is available because our previous student team member has been accepted into veterinary school, and we're excited to help the next aspiring veterinary professional gain valuable hands-on experience.
We will provide full-time paid training throughout August, so you'll be confident and prepared before transitioning into regular Saturday shifts during the school year. This role is ideal for university students, particularly those interested in veterinary medicine, animal science, or a career working with animals.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on, varied position combining reception and vet assistant duties. You’ll be a friendly, reassuring presence for our clients at the front desk and a key member of the team supporting our vets and techs behind the scenes.
Duties include:
- Greeting clients and managing reception duties (phones, bookings, payments, etc.)
- Assisting veterinarians and vet techs during patient care
- Maintaining clinic cleanliness, including kennels and laundry
- Supporting daily operations and helping wherever needed
About You:
- Mature, dependable, and confident working independently and in a team
- Comfortable handling animals and communicating with clients
- Adaptable, eager to learn, and able to balance front-of-house and back-of-house tasks
- Available Saturdays
- Full time hours available in August to allow for a training period
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
