Indulge Natural and Organic Kitchen is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our catering team as part-time Dishwashers and Kitchen Support Staff.
This is a casual, event-based position with shifts scheduled as required. Most shifts take place on weekday evenings and weekends. Students are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
Provide kitchen line support during events, including assisting with plating, clearing work areas and completing kitchen cleanup.Wash, sanitize and properly store dishes, glassware, cutlery, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary dishwashing area throughout the shift
Empty garbage, recycling and compost and replace liners as required
Clean floors, sinks, work surfaces, shelving, carts and equipment
Assist with kitchen and event setup, breakdown, packing and general cleaning
Follow food-safety, allergen, chemical-handling and workplace safety procedures
Work cooperatively with kitchen and event staff
Notify the supervisor of hazards, injuries, broken equipment or supply shortages
Complete other reasonable duties related to the position
Qualifications:
Reliable, punctual and able to follow direction
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment
Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Able to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Available for weekday evening and weekend shifts
Able to start and finish shifts at designated event venues
Previous dishwashing, kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
