Summary of Work Performed
Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional dining and bar experience for all guests. Lodgetender / Servers consistently execute all aspects of the MIKES B.E.S.T. / urbanLODGE program, including food and beverage service, guest engagement, and operational standards.
General Responsibilities
· Maintains a Guest focus while performing all duties
· Assumes 100% responsibility for the Guest experience
· Ensures guests have a positive and memorable MIKES B.E.S.T. Experience
· Greets all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness consistent with MIKES B.E.S.T. standards
· Prepare and serve beverages consistent with MR MIKES standard drink recipes
· Take food and beverage orders from guests and record them accurately
· Inputs all guest food and drink orders into the POS system accurately to ensure timely service and correct billing
· Identifies food and drink orders when ready and delivers them accurately and promptly
· Accepts guest payment, processes credit/debit transactions, and makes change in a timely manner consistent with MR MIKES standards
· Accurately completes end-of-shift cash out procedures according to MR MIKES standards
· Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with company policies and Provincial regulations
· Maintains full knowledge of all MR MIKES menus, recipes, offerings, and promotions to confidently answer guest questions
· Presents menus, makes recommendations, and responds to guest inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
· Learns guest names and builds genuine relationships with returning guests
· Develops and maintains positive guest relationships to enhance loyalty and repeat visits
· Washes and sterilizes glassware and bar equipment as required
· Prepares drink garnishes and maintains bar setup in a clean, organized, and attractive manner
· Assists with restocking and replenishing bar, service, and dining room supplies
· Reports equipment issues, maintenance needs, and out-of-stock items to management promptly
· Completes assigned side duties during non-peak periods
· Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and fully stocked work area at all times
· Notifies the manager or leader on duty immediately if a guest is not fully satisfied, following MIKES B.E.S.T. Guest Recovery standards
· Maintains a professional appearance consistent with MR MIKES dress code
· Communicates effectively with all MR MIKES Team Members to support a positive and efficient work environment
· Reports to work as scheduled, prepared, in uniform, and ready to perform assigned duties
· Follows all checklists, policies, and standard operating procedures
· Works as part of a TEAM by assisting other team members as needed
· Attends team meetings and contributes ideas for continuous improvement
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Leadership Team
Requirements
· Minimum age of 19 years
· Maintains a current Provincial Responsible Alcohol Service certification
· Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
· Ability to lift and carry items up to 60 lbs, including trays of food and beverages
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an outgoing personality
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to follow direction and ask clarifying questions when needed
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
· May require a Criminal Record Check
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
