Assist with the safe and efficient operation of the Powerhouse, including boilers, cogeneration systems, air compressors, water treatment equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, air scrubbers, and other utility equipment.
Support maintenance activities and help coordinate preventive and corrective repairs.
Ensure operational logs, utility records, and compliance documentation are completed and maintained accurately.
Assist the Chief Engineer in meeting Ontario TSSA requirements and supporting regulatory inspections.
Help coordinate contractors, consultants, and external service providers when needed.
Support the training and development of Operating Engineers.
Participate in routine inspections of boilers and utility systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Assist with managing spare parts inventory and maintenance schedules.
Promote and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Provide support and guidance to the operating engineer team.
Assist with energy-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Support the preparation and tracking of maintenance and capital budgets.
Assist with the planning and implementation of Powerhouse projects.
