The perfect location for hosting a wedding, conference, fundraising event, seasonal gala or a sporting event.
Licensed establishment with on site catering services, ready to host any type of private or corporate event.
We accommodate your wedding ceremony and reception at the same location; your guests will find our neighboring hotel very convenient to walk to.
We offer client-specific menu options, including assistance throughout the entire decision-making period. Our team is pleasant, attentive and professional to accommodate you from the beginning to the end of your event.
The banquet hall management is knowledgeable, helpful and available to assist throughout the entire planning process.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Event Chef to oversee all aspects of our culinary operations.
The Role
As Event Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen operations, cost control, ordering, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management
- Create recipes and establish preparation and plating standards
- Manage food ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory
- Monitor food costs, waste, portion sizes, and kitchen profitability
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
- Manage kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs or maintenance when required
- Work closely with front-of-house and management teams to ensure excellent guest experiences
- Handle kitchen issues calmly and efficiently during busy service periods
- Foster a respectful, professional, and positive kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of professional kitchen operations
- Excellent culinary and food preparation skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop a kitchen team
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and purchasing
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Culinary education or equivalent professional experience is an asset
- Food Handler/food safety certification is an asset or required
