Job Overview:

The Quality Specialist is primarily responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, maintaining Quality Management System, developing, and maintaining QMS documents, conducting audits and management of the corrective/preventive actions to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015
- Conduct and host QMS audits.
- Manage the internal and external NCRs, participating in root cause analysis and implementing the corrective actions.
- Use problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development team.
- Work closely with various departments including production, engineering and supply chain to meet quality objectives.
- Ensure that products comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Evaluate the new suppliers and maintain the approved vendors list.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, QMS procedures & work instructions.
- Oversee the maintenance of Calibration process.
- Promote Quality across organization through establishment and maintenance of KPIs.
- Analyze quality data to identify the trends and prepare reports for management.
- Facilitate the training sessions on quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement process, by implementing 5S and Lean manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years QA/QC experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and CSA standards.
- Experience with technical writing - including SOPs and Compliance policies.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with ERP systems.
Engineering degree, CQE, CAD, CMM, Six Sigma Lean, Certificates would be asset.
