The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately processing transactions, maintaining vendor relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, collaborating with teams for process improvement, and participating in month-end closing activities.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately processing transactions, maintaining vendor relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, collaborating with teams for process improvement, and participating in month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and match all source documents (invoices, purchase orders, and receipts) to ensure accurate posting in the financial system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain vendor records in the financial system, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Process invoices, check requests, and employee expense reimbursements in accordance with payment terms and internal controls
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including cheques, electronic payments and wire transfers
- Ensure timely vendor payments and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month‑end close activities
- Support audits and provide documentation as required
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline accounts payable processes
- Assist with document management, reporting, and finance‑related administrative support
- Provide reception coverage as needed
- Support Finance and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational background in Finance / Accounting, or a related discipline or related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute to team success
Pay: $37,319.01-$76,062.38 per year
